Project Friday - Celebrating Florence Nightingale



For today's project we are going to be doing some research. Tuesday 12th May was International Nurses Day. This is a day that originally celebrated Florence's birth and now celebrates the important role of nurses in health care. 

Short Story - Florence Nightingale

Your task today is to create a poster or information booklet about Florence and her life. 
Can you find out three facts about Florence? 
Can you draw a picture of Florence?
Do you have any nurses or doctors in your family or community? 
Can you think of a time when a nurse has helped you?

Here are this weeks numeracy tasks.  Monday - Exploring number bonds within 10.  Using your ten-frame that was included in your home learning pack (or you could draw one on some paper) can you explore what numbers make 10.   Can you list all of the different number sentences to make ten?
