Shape, Space and Measure Monday Can you compare the weights of four different objects and order them from lightest to heaviest? Tuesday  Who is the tallest person at home? Can you sort yourselves into a line going from smallest to tallest? *Challenge* Can you describe the line using positional language? (For example, who is first? Who is last? Who is next to you?) Wednesday Investigate how much water you can fit into different containers. Thursday Can you measure objects in your house using non-standard units of measurement? (For example how many teaspoons long is your table? How many pencils long is your rug?) 

Story time! Let your child choose their favourite story book, read it with your child. Using the below as a guide, encourage your child to create a book review of the story.  Book Title:  1. Who was your favourite character in the book and why? 2. What was your favourite part of the book? 3. Would you recommend the book to a friend? Draw a picture of your favourite scene from the book.  Remember to snap a picture of your child's completed book review to email to Miss Forrester or upload it onto Tapestry too! Thank you. 

Phonics Please use your child's sound book to practice both Phase 2 and Phase 3 phonics. This link can be used to access the ' Tricky Word - Phase 3 Tricky Word' song that your child is familiar with. Below are various images, can we encourage children to write one or two sentences about each image in their home learning work book. Please only use one image per day for sentence writing. Remember to take pictures of your child's sentence writing and email them to the class teacher using bluebells@poplarsfarm.bradford.sch.uk. Miss Forrester can provide feedback on your child's focus day. You can also upload these images to your Tapestry account.  Thank you! 

Welcome to our Reception blog This blog has been set up to support your child with home learning.  On this blog you can find: lesson plans  resources photographs links to further online learning platforms. Work will be uploaded and updated onto the blog by 9am Monday to Thursday.  Miss Forrester will be available between the hours of 9am- 12pm and 1pm - 3pm.  We can be contacted directly by our class email: bluebells@poplarsfarm.bradford.sch.uk Please use the class blog to keep up to date with any announcements from class teachers.  Your child should have received the following to ensure they can keep on track with home learning:  home learning book pencil relevant word mats  passwords to relevant websites reading books  Pupils should be encouraged to send work via the class email to the class teacher, this can include videos, photographs and work. Your child will be given a specific day of the week on which they will receive feedback on work
